Who is Monash Chorale

Monash Chorale is a community choir formed in 1995 by a group interested in fostering opportunities for choral singing in the City of Monash. Michael Loughlin was founding Musical Director and remains the choir's Patron.

The choir performs several major concerts each year. Monash Chorale encourages the enjoyment of singing and provides quality entertainment for varied audiences in the community.

Monash Chorale is rehearsing again in 2022, with reduced rehearsal lengths, socially distanced seating and other Covid-safe measures, including periods of on-line rehearsals when COVID conditions make this appropriate.

Monash Chorale is available for performances

From our membership of nearly 70 singers, a smaller choir of between 15 and 30 may be available to provide programs suitable for many occasions. Between May and September in normal years we offer a program of lighter, mostly secular songs.  During November and December a Christmas program covering well known carols and popular Christmas songs is available. If you would like to explore this possibility, email us at monash.chorale@gmail.com
